Christmas might be different this year, but we can still make December events magical at 41 Portland Place.

Following the announcement yesterday and in line with Government advice, we will be opening our doors once again at 41 Portland Place from the 2nd December 2020 for Covid-safe business events.

This means that you can join us indoors for events that need to take place face-to-face. For internal business meetings, these have to involve less than 30 members of staff, and if you’re hosting a business event externally, you’re allowed to expand your guest list, but only up to 50% of our room capacity.

We’re so excited to be opening, and here are just a few of the things you can look forward to with us….

As the home of the Academy of Medical Sciences, you can trust that we take your safety extremely seriously. Our cleaning team sterilise shared spaces like the Entrance Hall throughout the day. All handwashing facilities have motion sensor taps and we have sanitising hand gels available in every room with every booking, free of charge. We will use our expert knowledge of our venue to ensure you have enough room for all your guests to space out.

We have updated our bookings policy so if government advice changes and an event you had previously planned is now impossible to hold, we promise to offer you an alternative date free of charge.

Our catering team always work to the highest professional standards! We have the widest range of menu items, which minimise shared surfaces and focus on individually-prepared menu items…

… and we are still offering festive catering packages, so you can still get a Christmas treat with us! As you walk up underneath the lights of Regent Street and Marylebone, get ready for a slightly different, but still magical, Christmas…

By choosing 41 Portland Place, you’re not only choosing an award-winning team at one of central London’s most beautiful private townhouses. You’re also supporting the secret heart of medical research, with your events in turn helping the Academy of Medical Sciences improve health for everyone.
