Hospitality services in the 41Portland Place meeting rooms is provided by Harbour & Jones, a privately owned bespoke catering company owned by Patrick Harbour & Nathan Jones. They had both endured endless conferences and meetings, drinking poor quality coffee, staring at tired salmon sandwiches, sweaty cheese and dodgy pineapple on a stick; and attended various receptions and events where a warm glass of wine and piece of dried up paté on toast was considered an acceptable canapé. They knew that there was more to catering than this. So in January 2004, both left the larger national company that they were working for and set up Harbour & Jones, with the express remit of bringing an exciting new dimension to catering and only employing people who cared about it as much as they did.
